Mr Ramsay has been impressed with the wealth of information being exchanged daily between Police and the public since himself signing up to Farm Watch.
Speaking today Nick said:
“Farm watch is an excellent idea to help keep people informed by email about what is going on in their local area. Linked to the successful OWL scheme run by Gwent Police, it’s aimed at keeping communities safe and reducing crime.
“I’ve been receiving regular emails since I signed up to the scheme, and I know the information is helpful to the public, especially those in rural areas who are often some distance from the nearest police station. The results show how useful the scheme is in dealing with rural crime, and it has my full support.
“I’d encourage anyone living in a rural part of Monmouthshire to sign up to the scheme as you never know when it may be of use in reporting a crime or providing information that may lead to the arrest of a criminal.”
