LOCAL Assembly Member Nick Ramsay has joined the British Lung Foundation (BLF) in their fight against lung disease and their pledge to ensure the recently launched Respiratory Health Delivery Plan becomes the driving for change in making Wales breathe easier.
Part of the Together for Health Programme, the plan will focus on major lung diseases such as COPD, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and asthma as well as seeking to prevent poor lung health and ensuring that Wales has gold standard services for those living with lung conditions.
Giving the plan his full backing, Nick said:
“I was delighted to attend the event launch in the Assembly and join the BLF in their fight against lung disease. Wales has some of the highest incidence in lung disease in Europe and is responsible for thousands of deaths each year.
“The plan seeks to reduce the burden of respiratory disease on the Welsh population. It is vital its targets are achieved.”
