Local Assembly Member, Nick Ramsay was pleased to have been able to attend yesterday’s royal visit to Usk by the Duchess of Cornwall following an invitation from Usk in Bloom.
Speaking after the visit Nick said:
“I was pleased to be a member of the group of dignitaries welcoming the Duchess to Usk Square yesterday afternoon.
“Usk looked at its best, with wonderful floral displays to greet the royal visitor. As usual Usk in Bloom have done themselves proud, and I’d like to pay tribute to all those local volunteers who continue to work so hard to make Usk such a delight with its excellent displays during the summer months. Particular thanks to former mayor, Tony Kear, for his on-going commitment to Usk in Bloom.
“Well done to everyone concerned with making the visit such a success and an event we will remember for some time to come.”
