Mitchel Troy Conservative Branch

“What the Papers Say & Question Time”: Simon Fanshawe, Caroline Pascoe and David Davies MP debate the issues with YOU.

  Llanarth Village Hall

Saturday 29th November ’14, from 6.30 pm – 9.00 pm

On Saturday evening 29th November, David Davies, our MP, Simon Fanshawe, Perrier Award winner, writer, journalist, businessman and broadcaster, together with Mrs Caroline Pascoe – Head of Haberdashers’ Monmouth School for Girls – will be debating national issues with you, the audience.

David needs no introduction; Simon is a regular contributor to the BBC Television programme “Breakfast Time” where he can be seen dissecting the news of the day from various newspapers. Caroline, is the 12th Headmistress of HMSG and has a BSc in Microbiology, an MSc in Educational Management, and rowed for the GB Women’s Rowing Squad in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.

For our event, we shall copy both the “Breakfast Time” and “Question Time” formats, thus making time for the panellists to discuss topical news items, and for the audience to ask questions. For this latter to work best, those of you who want to come and who would like to pose a question, are asked to send that question in advance so that we can present a balance of topics for discussion and debate.

The event is by ticket only and the cost is £5.00 per person except for students for whom there will be no charge. Those who attend are asked to bring buffet “finger” food and drink for both themselves, and for others to share.

Tickets can be purchased via the office in Usk or by contacting your Branch Chairman for further details.
