AM drops in on Usk Town Council

MONMOUTH Assembly Member Nick Ramsay embarked on the first of his tours of local town and community councils when he gave a talk to Usk Town Council at the Sessions House recently.

Speaking after the visit, Mr Ramsay said:

“It was a welcome opportunity to meet local councillors to discuss a range of issues including concerns over the devolution of tax raising powers to the Welsh Assembly and controversial local government re-organisation proposals, which could get rid of Monmouthshire – a huge step back for democracy.

“I am looking forward to visiting other local councils in my constituency and would be happy to hear from any other local organisations who would like me to visit them and give a brief talk on some of these complex issues.”
