LOCAL Assembly Member Nick Ramsay is supporting Fuel Poverty Awareness Day, organised by National Energy Action, which is taking place on 27th February. The aim of the day is to raise awareness of the problem of fuel poverty which affects one in three households in Wales.
Speaking today Nick said:
“I’m sure that events being held around the country on 27th February will help raise awareness of the problems facing local people who struggle to heat their homes affordably, and the role energy efficiency can play in making their homes warmer, more comfortable and cheaper to heat.
“Hopefully, Fuel Poverty Awareness day will help ensure that more vulnerable people receive the help they need.”
Anyone requiring advice on bills and energy efficiency should contact the Home Heat Helpline on 0800 33 66 99. For further information on Fuel Poverty Awareness day visit www.nea.org.uk
