MONMOUTH Assembly Member Nick Ramsay has welcomed news that changes to the road marking layout at junction 2 of the M48 have now been completed.
Mr Ramsay asked the Welsh Government’s Transport Minister, Edwina Hart AM, to investigate the issue as a matter of urgency after receiving numerous complaints from constituents that the previous layout was making the junction extremely dangerous.
Speaking on Wednesday, Mr Ramsay said:
“I am pleased that the new road markings are now in place, allowing two lanes of traffic to use the westbound off-slip from the M48 to access the A66 and Chepstow.
“The Minister has informed me that officials will continue to monitor the area as part of the road safety audit. “
