LOCAL Assembly Member Nick Ramsay has welcomed the inauguration of the Usk Ministry Area that took place at a service held on Sunday evening at St Mary’s Church, Usk.
At the service the collation of the Reverend Kevin Hasler and the licensing of the Reverend Graham Opperman and the Reverend Pam Love also took place.
Speaking today, Mr Ramsay said:
“I am pleased at this positive step forward. It’s important that the Church in Wales is responsive to local people and their needs, and I’m sure that the newly amalgamated Usk Ministry Area will be a force for good.
“The appointment of the Reverend Kevin Hasler to his new role was great news, and I have no doubt he will prove to be a very suitable appointee, ably supported by the newly licensed Reverend Graham Opperman and Reverend Pam Love. I wish them all every success for the future.”
