Last night Monmouth Assembly Member Nick Ramsay attended the meeting of Trellech United Community Council held at Catbrook Memorial Hall to give a presentation on the devolution of tax raising powers to the Assembly.
Mr Ramsay was invited to speak to councillors and members of the public attending the meeting as part of his on-going tour of community and town councils in the constituency to help explain the proposed financial changes to the way the Assembly works.
Speaking today, Mr Ramsay said:
“I know many people are at the very least confused, and in some cases concerned about the tax powers proposals for the Assembly.
“These meetings provide a good opportunity for constituents to ask questions and for me to be able to clarify matters.
“If any local groups would be interested in listening to my talk and asking questions about this important issue I would be happy to visit them.”
