MONMOUTH Assembly Member Nick Ramsay is drawing constituents’ attention to the various functions carried out by Bus Users Cymru, whose job it is to look after bus passengers and help them deal with complaints and other concerns.
Funded by the Welsh Government, Bus Users Cymru carry out monitoring and mystery travelling and employ direct and lead three Bus Compliance Officers in addition to handling complaints and facilitating ‘Your Bus Matters’ events, where the public can meet face to face with local authorities and the operators that provide the services.
Speaking on Wednesday, Mr Ramsay said:
“It is good to know that this organisation exists to help improve services by monitoring and reporting on bus operators. Their aims are to gather the views of users and accurately reflect them to the industry and legislators and also to provide guidance and support to bus users, with advice on proposed transport policy.”
