LOCAL Assembly Member Nick Ramsay was delighted to attend the Freedom of Monmouth Parade held on Saturday after receiving an invitation from the Commanding officer of the Royal Monmouthshire Royal Engineers (Militia).
Speaking after the parade Nick said:
“I was very pleased to see such a great turn out in Monmouth. We were all treated to an excellent parade by the Monmouthshire regiment who exercised their right to march with bayonets.
“Following the parade from the Shire Hall there was a short reception held at Great Castle House for invited guests.
“It was good to see to many members of the public making an effort to come to support the troops who do so much both at home and abroad to safeguard our freedoms. We all enjoyed a really spectacular display.”
