AM delighted by grant for local cycle hospital project

MONMOUTH Assembly Member Nick Ramsay was delighted to learn that a grant of £38,480 has been awarded by the People’s Health Trust to Abergavenny Community Enterprise for their Cycle Hospital and ACE Create project.

This new two year project aims to deliver a programme of weekly activities for young people, aged 16 and under, on the local estate, and includes a cycle workshop offering free repairs and training in cycle maintenance, as well as a video and film making club.

People’s Health Trust is an independent charity which invests in local communities and supports local organisations through HealthControl, a community interest company which operates a society lottery within Monmouthshire.

Congratulating Abergavenny Community Enterprise on receiving the award, Mr Ramsay said:

“This is a very worthwhile project, which I am sure will benefit many young people in the community.

“The good news is that the People’s Health Trust still have money to allocate locally so I would urge any local groups who think they may be eligible for a grant to consider applying.”
