MONMOUTH Assembly Member Nick Ramsay has welcomed news that the National Transport Finance Plan 2015 has identified the A40 section of road through Abergavenny as a potential detrunking scheme, with work on the proposal commencing this financial year.
Speaking on Wednesday, Mr Ramsay said:
“I have always supported this scheme and hopefully, problems relating to the location of a new footbridge at Llanfoist can be speedily resolved so that the scheme can go ahead.
“This problem has dragged on way too long and I hope it can be sorted out once and for all. I will continue to press the Minister for updates on the progress on this issue.”
