MONMOUTH Assembly Member Nick Ramsay has been told by the Welsh Government Minister for Transport, Edwina Hart AM, that it is unlikely that compete resurfacing on the A465 between Abergavenny and Pontrilas will take place in the near future, due to lack of available funds.
Mr Ramsay contacted the Minister after constituents expressed concern about the poor quality of this section of road, in particular the large number of potholes.
Speaking on Wednesday, Mr Ramsay said:
“I am disappointed by the response from the Minister but can only hope that the worst areas will be patched before too long and certainly before the winter arrives.
“If this isn’t competed in a reasonable time I will be taking the matter up again with the Minister.”
