AM draws attention to Conservation area consultation

MONMOUTH  Assembly Member Nick Ramsay is drawing constituents’ attention to a series of events being staged by Monmouthshire Planning Department inviting members of the public to express their views on Appraisals that have been carried out in a number of Conservation areas.

Monmouthshire County Council has commissioned Conservation Area Appraisals for 18 of its 31 Conservation Areas, setting out what is important or distinctive about the character and appearance of each area as well as future management options. The consultation also includes seeking members of the public’s views on proposals to amend the boundaries of some of the Conservation Areas,

Each event will take place from 3pm – 7pm at the following venues: September 3rd, County Hall, Rhadyr, Usk (covering areas of Usk, Raglan and Llandenny), September 7th, Chepstow Leisure Centre (covering Chepstow, Mathern, St Arvans, Tintern and Llandogo), September 9th, St Mary’s Priory, Abergavenny (covering Abergavenny, Llanover, Llanarth and Llantilio Crossenny), September 16th, The Shire Hall, Monmouth (covering Monmouth, Whitebrook and Grosmont) and September 29th, Caldicot Town Council Hall (covering Magor, Shirenewton and Caerwent).
