MONMOUTH Assembly Member Nick Ramsay has praised the Conservative-led Monmouthshire County Council’s new scheme introducing flexible hours and volunteers aid care service in the county.
The scheme has also received praise from the Older People’s Commissioner recently as it provides staff with freedom to control their own hours and helps provide vulnerable people with greater continuity of care and visits better tailored to their needs.
Speaking today, Mr Ramsay said:
“The Older people’s Commissioner’s comments confirm what people living in the Raglan area have known for a long time – we are fortunate to have some of the best care for older people in Wales.
“Monmouthshire is an innovative, efficient authority that delivers quality services on a tight budget.
“This is another good reason why we must “Save Monmouthshire” from abolition by the Welsh Government. I hope as many people as possible will sign the petition to save our county.”
