LOCAL Assembly Member Nick Ramsay was delighted to learn that Monmouthshire is among nine councils in Wales set to share nearly £9million to improve natural environments used by local communities.
The money comes from the Big Lottery Fund and dormant accounts’ funding from bank and building societies.
Speaking today, Mr Ramsay said:
“This is great news for Monmouthshire. I understand that applicants will be able to seek grants from between £500,000 and £2 million for a seven year project. I look forward to hearing what schemes the council comes up with.”
