LOCAL Assembly Member Nick Ramsay said he was concerned to learn that the Chepstow Superstore is one of 76 Tesco stores that will no longer be open 24 hours.
Speaking today, Mr Ramsay said:
“I understand that the company’s decision to end 24-hour shopping at 76 of its stores is attributed to a decline in customers in certain stores due to the growth of online shopping and is part of Tesco’s latest shake -up in efforts to turn its business around.
“Tesco says the impact on employees will be minimal and I hope this will be the case at the Chepstow Superstore.
“I am seeking assurances that these changes will not adversely affect customers and employees.”
