Nick supports Bags of Help award for Llanfrechfa Garden Project

MONMOUTH Assembly Member Nick Ramsay was delighted to learn that the Llanfrechfa Grange Walled Garden Project is to be the recipient of a Tesco Bags of Help award.

Tesco teamed up with Groundwork to launch its Bags of Help initiative in many regions across England and Wales, raised from the 5p bag charge.

Llanfrechfa Grange is in line to receive either £8,000, £10,000 or £12,000, dependent on the number of votes cast by customers across the four Tesco stores in Gwent, with voting taking place between Saturday, February 27th until Sunday, March 6th.

Nick, who lived in Llanfrechfa before moving to Raglan, said:

“Volunteers have been working hard to restore the old Victorian garden at The Grange and this award would enable them to build the first greenhouse in the Walled Garden.

“The bigger the award, the better the greenhouse – so I hope customers in any of the Tesco stores will cast their votes accordingly!”
