LOCAL Assembly Member Nick Ramsay braved the wintry weather to show his support for Cancer Research UK who took their fight against cancer to the Senedd on Wednesday.
Speaking after the event, Mr Ramsay said:
“Sadly, one in two people born after 1960 will receive a cancer diagnosis at some point in their lives – but thanks to research, survival is improving.
“An early diagnosis is important as the earlier a person’s cancer is diagnosed, the better their chance of successful treatment.
“However, with more and more people being diagnosed, determined action is urgently needed to save more lives.
“I fully support Cancer Research UK’s campaign for all patients to have quick access to vital cancer tests and for an improved screening programme.”
