AM presses council on Kymin lane petition

MONMOUTH Assembly Member Nick Ramsay is chasing up Monmouthshire County Council to ask what progress has been made on a petition by Kymin residents to reduce speed on the narrow Kymin lane.

Speaking today, Mr Ramsay said:

“I have received reports of police being contacted about speeding traffic on the Kymin lane, particularly in the evenings.

“Local residents are extremely concerned about the dangers this causes on such a narrow lane.

“I was told last September that the county council would be carrying out a traffic survey to assess the problem with a view to introducing measures to restrict speed and that the petition would be reported to the Central Monmouth Area Committee.

“I hope it won’t be too long before some action is taken.”
