AM hosts Time to Change Wales event

MONMOUTH Assembly Member Nick Ramsay hosted a well attended Time to Change Wales event, held at The Beaufort, Raglan, recently.

Time to Change Wales is the first national campaign whose goal is to end the stigma faced by people with mental health problems. The campaign is championed by volunteers who themselves have lived with experience of mental health problems and encourages organisations to take a pledge to step up to tackle mental health discrimination in the workplace.

Speaking after the event, Mr Ramsay said:

“Mental health problems can still be a taboo subject and can make it difficult for people to lead a normal life, especially at work. Thanks to the Time to Change Wales campaign many organisations are now taking action to reduce mental health discrimination, and I hope many more will be encouraged to step up and take the pledge.”
